As you can see I’ve been keeping a pregnancy journal just for myself and I’m a little behind on my updates for the blog, I’m 22 + 5 as I write this post. I’m hoping to continue this journal as a baby book once the baby arrives, and yes I know my writing is illegible, my partner Greg tells me that all the time! I’m not super artistic, but I’m inspired by all the amazing bullet journal artists there are out there, do a search for bullet journal (or ‘bujo’) on Instagramm or Pinterest and you’ll see what I mean!
I did a few of these posts last summer, it’s a weekly link-up hosted by The Broke and The Bookish every Tuesday. There’s a different theme each week, it’s a fun way to see what other people are reading and get recommendations for books you may not have chose to read otherwise. I already shared a few books I’m looking forward to reading on my Fall Reading List post, but here are eight books that I’d like to read this winter. Continue reading
Originally when I was first planning this post I was going to do a What I Ate Wednesday sort of post. Back when I was attempting to blog previously, in around 2014 or so, the WIAW thing seemed to be what everyone was doing, it seems to have faded in popularity. Anyway as I began planning the post, I was thinking about what I would eat the day of my post and instead of it being an accurate reflection of what I was actually eating it became my interpretation of what I thought I was supposed to be eating. Now that the weather is turning a little cooler it’s really putting me in the mood to cozy up with a good book. So here’s what I’ve been reading so far this fall and what’s on my to read list. Continue reading
We’re halfway there!
Baby Size: Artichoke + Mango. Don’t get me started on the whole baby size as a fruit thing… I’m twenty weeks now and apparently the baby is the size of a banana, but at thirty weeks it’ll somehow be the size of a zucchini, aren’t they the same size!?!? I know, I know, I should just let it go. Continue reading
I’m all about trying new things so this week I’m trying something a little different. I always see variations of these type of posts across all sorts of blogs and I thought I’d add my two cents about things that I’m loving right now. Let me know in the comments if you like to read this sort of thing.
Don’t get between a pregnant girl and her ice cream.
Baby Size: Orange + Pomegranate, sometimes I wonder about these size transitions and if they’re actually getting bigger. At 18 weeks the baby is now the size of an artichoke, is an artichoke really bigger than a pomegranate?
Just in case it wasn’t obvious, I’m pregnant! I have been debating for a while about whether or not to do a pregnancy blog. I’ve been keeping a journal for myself of how I’ve been feeling each week but I’ve really enjoyed reading other people’s pregnancy blogs. On the off chance that someone else will get something from my experience I’ve decided to add mine to the blog universe.
I have a confession to make, when I was a kid, I was obsessed with Archie Comics. I’d like to think of myself as a voracious reader, talking true literature, but there was a time in my life when all I wanted to read was Archie Comics (I also went through a Sweet Valley High phase, don’t judge…). Every time we were at the grocery store I would beg my parents to buy me one. What a genius marketing ploy to put them at grocery store checkout counters, do they still do that?
So of course I was a little intrigued when I heard that they were making a show for Netflix. Then a little while later I read an article that the show was actually pretty good. Finally, the nail in the coffin, home by myself on a Friday night, wondering what to watch on Netflix. Lo and behold, Netflix thought it’d be something I’d be interested in, apparently since I’d watched Gilmore Girls.
Did anyone watch the Oscars last night? Do people even watch the Oscars anymore? I usually tune in to watch part of the red carpet and the opening monologue. Apparently I missed all the drama!
I checked out of the Oscars to watch Episode 2 of Big Little Lies. I’ve been excited for this show to air. I liked the book, and they amped it up with a killer cast. I don’t have HBO so I missed last weeks episode and went to my mom’s house to watch the first two last night. I was definitely impressed.
